Event Overview

The Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) is a groundbreaking wellness initiative that teaches participants practical skills to increase personal resilience and empower communities.

CRM participants build resilience by learning about:

  • The impact of stress on their bodies and brains.

  • Self-regulation skills for rapid relief of stress-related symptoms.

  • An increased sense of control over future wellness.

CRM was created by the Trauma Resource Institute in part as a response to the public health crisis of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and is:

Tammy Blackard Cook (LCSW, CDWF)

As part of her work as a trauma-focused clinician, Tammy became a certified trainer in the public health Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) and teaches it widely throughout the Triangle.
