CE Announcement for Mental Health Practitioners

The Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) model teaches providers about self-regulation skills for use in the clinical setting. The tools gained in this workshop are useful in teaching clients about self-care. CRM is a tremendous resource for clients coping with chronic stress. CRM can be used in individual as well as family treatment settings.

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to utilize CRM skills with their clients for stress relief and for relief from traumatic stress symptoms. Participants will be able:

  • To list the impacts of stress on clients’ bodies and brains.

  • To recite the six (6) wellness skills of the Community Resiliency Model.

  • To assess if a client is in their Resilient Zone.

  • To demonstrate self-regulation skills to teach clients for rapid relief of stress-related symptoms.

  • To create a plan for clients to experience an increased sense of control over future wellness.

CRM was created by the Trauma Resource Institute in part as a response to the public health crisis of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and is:

As part of her work as a trauma-focused clinician, Tammy became a certified trainer in the public health Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) and teaches it widely throughout the Triangle.
